Ways YOU can make a difference

There are so many ways that we can make a difference and can contribute to the cause. Some ways include attending protests, signing petitions, calling/emailing government officials, and donating towards different organizations. Before saying that you support the movement, you must show it. Hover over the pictures to see ways you can make a difference!

PROTEST

Use your social media to find where you can participate. For example, search "Black Lives Matter" or "George Floyd" in the Groups tab on Facebook to see if there is any activity in your area. You can also check the Events tab and select Causes (make sure your location is on). Or, you can use Twitter and search hashtags of major cities around you. For example, a simple search of #NYC brought me to the list of protests that are on tomorrow. Shown below is a live map of the cities where protests are active: full credits to Nico @dehyedration and her resources. Be wary that this map may not be updated, but it is a great representation of how widespread these protests are. We're making our mark everywhere!

If you do go out to protest, PLEASE remember we are still in the middle of a global pandemic, so stay safe and protect yourself. Read about what rights you have as a protestor before you go, here . A longer list of resources and medical tips for protestors can be found here
